more than 30 years experience to her yoga students. Her many
influences include the teachings of BKS Iyengar, Bikram
Choudhury, Yogi Bhajan, and Vanda Scaravelli. In recent years

incorporates pranayama and meditation with asanas.
YOGA FROM THE INSIDE OUT
Often presented as
exercise to stretch and
strengthen the body through postures known as asanas,
yoga goes beyond that.
Through
controlled breathing (pranayama) and focused attention, yoga
brings mind, body and spirit into mutual harmony
By
linking the mind to the breath, we experience asana at a much
deeper level, not only benefiting the musculoskeletal system,
but all the systems of the body
YOGA FOR ALL FITNESS
LEVELS
For a better
understanding, we must let go of externally imposed ideas of
what an asana should look like, based on images from books,
videos, or an instructor's demonstration. Instead, we ask:
What is the
benefit of a particular asana - why do we do it?
How can we
adapt the asana to our individual circumstances in order to
realize the benefit?
Through consistent
yoga practice we come to respond to the demands of daily life,
free from mental and physical stress and anxiety.
